For the very first time, an exhibit is revealing VINCENZO I GONZAGA, a magnificent prince who made the Duchy of Mantua an important art centre, and whose court rivalled the richest ones of Europe and Italy in splendour .
‘Francesco Gonzaga`diocesan museum, which hosts all the remaining Gonzaga's jewellery, is presenting 80 works – such as jewels, paintings, armours, engravings, books, letters, fabrics, often only known by specialists – illustrating an incomparable age, whose centre was one of the most magnificent men in period Europe.
The visit to Vincenzo's apartments in the Ducal Palace will be a precious appendage to the exhibit.
